Can You Drive Without Using Your Legs?

We get a lot of questions about whether Craig is still able to drive after becoming paralyzed since he can't press the pedals with his legs so we thought we'd address them here. It is possible for paraplegics and quadriplegics to drive but with adaptations to their vehicles such as hand controls. Here in the UK most cars are manual which makes it more difficult for Craig to drive without being able to use his legs as there is an extra pedal to contend with so since our car was manual he hasn't driven it since the accident and Claire has been doing all the driving for the last 2 years. When we were searching for the new van, one of our must haves was that it was automatic so that we could install hand controls and both drive it. Here's how Craig is able to drive our van without using his legs!
