Husky VS Porcupine

Kolache and Ronan got into a porcupine, again! Neither have learned their lesson through multiple encounters. Due to the tide being up we were unable to reach town and had to pull the quills ourselves, per instructions from our vet. The dogs also get pain medication for this, but huskies are loud on their best days. We've had lots of practice pulling quills out of many different dogs due to living remotely. When you can't reach veterinary care immediatly, leaving the quills in for hours is dangerous as they can break off, travel internally and impact organs.
