Coach Frank demonstrates a fantastic full body workout today that you can do with just a pair of dumbbells! This is not a follow-along routine, but rather a set of tools you can add to your toolbelt.
Coach Frank provides detailed instruction on performing the following exercises to attack your whole body in one workout. Check out the notes below for some ideas on how to incorporate this into your fitness routine.
Squat
Deadlift
Shoulder Press
Bent Over Row
Floor Press
Bicep Curl
Tricep Extension
Now that you’ve got the tools, what do you do with them? Here are a few different ideas to create different stimuli:
Try a heavier weight with 5 reps per movement for raw strength, moderate weight for 8-12 reps for hypertrophy and a lighter weight for 15 reps to build muscular endurance. Mix it up and have fun!
Then pick a workout method:
Circuit style – Go through each exercise in sequence until you are done and then repeat the whole sequence 2-3 times.
OR
Hit each exercise for 3-4 sets, resting a minute between each set, then move on to the next exercise until you’ve completed the whole sequence.
