Lm3914 based Vaccum Fluroscent Display (VFD) Vu meter.

This video is upgrade to my previous video "vfd display testing ", the circuit is very simple which is based on Lm3914 led bar graph ic which takes audio input from any audio source such as mobile device, this ic has 10 stage comparator for driving 10 led or 10 lamps with programmable output current upto 30ma. The output of this is inverted using Uln2804 octal Darlington transistor array ic which drives the final vfd display segments.
steps:
1.filament supply should be 1.5vac
2.grid and segment should be 12v dc
3.Dc ground should be connected to one of the filament
4. circuit will work with vfd's which has special grid pins for vu sections and will not work for vfd with multiplexing grids which share same pins for multiple grids.
