Abandoned Green Goddess - Will it start?
This Green Goddess has been left parked up in a Scottish field for at least six years. The question was simple. Could we get it to run?

This video was shot at Shitefest, which is the annual meet-up of friends from the Autoshite forum. The Green Goddess in question belongs to one of the members and he now hopes to recommission it.
The Green Goddess is a fire engine (or self-propelled pump) that was built between 1953 and 1956 and supplied to the military. They were used to cover Fire Service strikes in 1977 and 2002, after which they were finally retired. Many have covered barely any miles. This one had covered 6200 miles if I recall correctly. The engine is a Bedford 4.9-litre six cylinder petrol, designed to run on almost any fuel.
