This project was one to challenge myself, and to learn. This was my first dovetail ever, first sliding dovetail too of course, first bowtie crack repair etc etc

I needed to learn the sliding dovetail because I've got a project coming up for a client that I've decided to use it on, so I needed practice, and what better way than on a project for yourself.

I also could have just filled the crack in the cherry wood with epoxy, but I chose to challenge myself again by doing the key / bowtie.

It was a fun project, and frankly I needed the shelving in my office area to clear up my desk.

I'm going to release a new follow up video this week explianing the design and thought process on this, to better describe why I chose to build this the way I did, so stay tuned.
