Part 2: ACS6000 Access Control Setup Part 2: Motherboards, Daughter Boards & Power Wiring Explained

Welcome back to the ACS6000 Access Control System Series!
In Part 2, we’ll walk you through the installation of the ACS6000 Mainboard and Daughter Boards onto the large chassis — plus the complete power wiring setup to prepare your system for operation.

📦 What You’ll Learn in This Video:
✅ Properly aligning and mounting the ACS6000 Mainboard using nylon standoffs and metal screws
✅ Installing three ACS6000 Daughter Boards securely on the chassis
✅ Connecting the power supply board to the main board using a 4-pin Molex connector
✅ Setting up a daisy-chain power distribution to all daughter boards
✅ Following wiring rules for stable and reliable connections

📘 Wiring Guidelines Covered:
1️⃣ Enable termination switches only on the first and last panels
2️⃣ Boards must be wired in parallel (max total length: 1,500 ft / 460 m)
3️⃣ No star connections — wiring must follow a straight path
4️⃣ No T-taps — keep wiring continuous and clean

💡 Tip: Always check polarity, handle boards carefully to avoid static damage, and ensure every Molex connector is securely seated.
