The Complete Gokyo Trek 2021: 9 Days, 5,357m (Complete Guide)

Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Lake, and Gokyo Ri are popular tourist destinations in Nepal's Khumbu region. These destinations, along with Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, attract the greatest number of trekkers each year. Gokyo Valley Trek takes us to the enthralling Gokyo Valley and includes Gokyo Ri, a magnificent vantage point in Gokyo Valley, as well as the tranquil Gokyo Lake.
There is no other valley like Gokyo Valley, with its serene freshwater lake and spectacular Gokyo Ri to enjoy breathtaking panoramic snow-capped mountain views and Ngozumpa, Nepal's largest glacier.

We strongly advise you to bring all of the necessary trekking equipment, as well as a first-aid kit. You can also rent sleeping bags, down jackets, shoes, and other trekking equipment for a very low price At the Kala Pattar shop in Thamel, Katmandu.
We also purchased our trekking equipment from the Kala Pattar, which included hiking backpacks, hiking boots, gloves, hats, neck warmers, hiking pants, and warm socks and inners - the more you buy, the more you can haggle!

Altitude:
It is important that you and your group members are aware of the effects of altitude and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Early symptoms after 2,500m include a severe headache, and you must stop climbing. If you experience dizziness, shortness of breath while resting, nausea, or exhaustion in addition to the headache, begin descending immediately. AMS can cause HAPE (high altitude pulmonary oedema) or HACE (high altitude cerebral oedema), both of which are life-threatening but usually only occur at extremely high altitudes.
To avoid AMS, make sure to be aware and follow the recommendations, and don't climb more than 500 meters per day above 3,000 meters.
If you become ill, you should notify the lodge owners; they are very helpful and can usually arrange for helicopter rescue if necessary.

Day 04: Trek to Dole ( 4110m. 4-5 hrs)
Day 05: Trek to Machhermo (4470m, 3-4 hrs)
Day 06: Machhermo to Gokyo (4750, 3-4 hrs )
Day 06: Hike Gokyo Ri (5357 m/17,570 ft)
Day 07: Gokyo to Namche,10 Hrs
Day 08: Namche Bazaar to Lukla ,8-9 Hrs
Day 09: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
