Egyptian bourse launches Sharia-compliant index
The Egyptian Stock Exchange launched a long-awaited Sharia-compliant index: the EGX33. Sharia investing promotes ethical and responsible investing and follows principles of Islamic law. It also generally involves less risk due to the strict screening process and the prohibition of speculation.
