The Abandoned Nehalem Divide Tunnel | OR

3 of my visits to the abandoned and well hidden Nehalem Divide Railroad Tunnel NW of Scappoose OR. The first 2 visits I find both entrances, and on my 3rd attempt I completed the tunnel. This tunnel was dug through the skinniest section of the Nehalem Divide with the goal of connecting the logging railroad from Scappoose to Nehalem on the Oregon coast. It was in operation from its completion in 1919 until 1945, when a logging road going over the divide was constructed instead.
