Succession Planning for Farm Businesses

Planning for the future can be challenging for farmers, whether you have heirs interested in taking over the farm or not. In this workshop, we will discuss various paths to take if you are passing on your farm to a family member or a non-related party. There will be an emphasis on processes and communication skills. We will hear both from a farmer who went through a formal succession planning program and one who did not, and a farmer who passed the farm to a child and another who passed the farm to a non-related young farmer.
