High Voltage Cable explosion possible as means of test or a true failure

It's an old video, but this shows high voltage test with a cable that couldent handle the load, reslting in a exploding cable.

I dont know where this video was filmed, why this happened or if this was a controlled test or simply a failure, to me it looks like a controlled test, why would it be filmed otherwise in a controleld fashion.

It should come a no surprise that working with High Voltage should always be done with the utmost care for your own and others safety and experimenting with High Voltage should never be done at home.
