Prometheus (1 of 3) Evolution of the myth
This is the first of three video lectures that accompany the reading of Hesiod's Works and Days (lines 42-105) and Theogony (lines 507-616) as well as Aeschylus' play Prometheus Bound. It contains a description of the general evolution of the Prometheus myth from Hesiod's time to the present as well as possible sources for the myth in both ancient Mesopotamia and the Caucasus Mountains.
