Becoming monetized on YouTube isn't impossible, but it does take commitment, a good channel topic, and a lot of believing in yourself. To hit 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in a year, you will probably have moments of doubt and moments where you need to reassess the focus of your channel - and that's ok. Since I started creating videos, none of them went viral and I took about the average amount of time to get monetized on YouTube without any of my videos really breaking out to handle the bulk of the work.
