First Look at using the Sailrite Fabricator for Bag Making

***UPDATE***. Since filming this video, I have learned that you can make adjustments to the presser foot which enables it to transition easily when sewing through different layers and thickness in the same seam. I will be talking about this as well as demonstrating in future videos.
=================================================================================
In this video I take a first look at using my newly purchased Sailrite Fabricator Industrial Walking Foot Sewing machine for bag making. I was first attracted to this machine by Sailrite's claim that you can threads ranging from General Purpose to V-138. My favorite thread to use is the Guttermann Mara 70 which is a Tex 40 thread. After making a few bags on the Fabricator with the Guttermann thread, I can tell you that Sailrite's claims are true. After doing a tiny bit of tweaking with my top thread and bobbin tensions and using a size 16 needle, I was able to run my thread beautiful without one instance of thread breakage or shredding. I am very pleased to be able to use my favorite thread in the Fabricator.

In the video, I will be sewing the Sunshine Crossbody Pouch by Bagstock Designs. But the focus of the video is not on constructing the bag, but on the machine's performance. You will see me sewing through various materials and thicknesses as I test the machine for materials I like to use in bag making.
