The Security Fences Of North River Depot

There were a series of four fences surrounding the "Q" Area at North River Depot. This was the only one, of the National or Operational Stockpile sites to have four fences. The standard was a three fence system, with the second fence being a high voltage electrified fence. North River Depot (Caribou Air Force Station), had four fences because of its remoteness and close proximity to the Canadian Border.
