The Campaign: Back to the Future
The world is once again on the brink, ravaged by the remnants of violent conflict and the rise of a powerful technological force.
* Setting: The year is 2035, years after the events of Black Ops II. Global tensions have evolved into a dangerous era of technological and psychological warfare.
* The Story: You step into the boots of JSOC Commander David "Section" Mason (returning from Black Ops II), leading the elite four-person squad Specter One. Your mission is to investigate the apparent and terrifying return of the deceased terrorist and social revolutionary, Raul Menendez.
* The Threat: The mission thrusts you into the Mediterranean city-state of Avalon, a seemingly perfect urban center run by the multinational tech giant The Guild. This organization claims to protect the populace, but is secretly involved in the mass production of a new form of the fear toxin introduced in Black Ops 6.
* Key Feature: Experience a campaign playable in 4-player co-op for the first time since Black Ops III, blending open-world operation zones with intense, reality-bending "nightmare sequences" designed to weaponize your greatest fears.
The Modes: Black Ops Core Experience
The signature Black Ops pillars return, enhanced and expanded for the next generation of warfare.
* Multiplayer: Engage in an electrifying 6v6 Multiplayer experience featuring a high map count at launch, including classic map reimaginings in a new 2035 futuristic style, and the return of the fan-favorite Nuketown 2025 map. The innovative Omni-movement system returns, allowing for seamless traversal across all maps.
* Zombies: The legendary cooperative, round-based Zombies mode is back, taking players deep into the heart of the Dark Aether for the largest round-based map ever created. Look out for the return of the original crew in "multiverse variations" and a remake of the classic Tranzit experience.
