What is Function on Demand?! The Simple Steps On To Install New Features To Your Porsche Taycan! With the release of the Taycan Porsche has enabled a very cool service called Function on Demand or FoD that allows you to add new features to your Taycan either via a trial period or unlimited that will stay with the car for the rest of time! In this video I cover the downloadable features available to the Taycan depending on your cars specific equipment. Follow along as we download one of these awesome features to this beautiful Cherry Metallic Taycan!

FoD Step By Step Download Process:
1) Purchase a Function Demand from the Porsche Connect Store. Once you receive and email confirmation, this means your FoD order was successful.

2) Your vehicle must have connectivity in order to complete installation. Make sure that Private mode is not activated in your vehicle and that there is also no existing charging connection.

The vehicle must be ready for operation, the parking brake active and gear position P selected. Then select the menu item "Updates" in the home menu. If there is no Function on Demand in the menu item "Updates", please wait 2-3 minutes.

3) Park the vehicle safely and press the button P (parking break).
Hold down the start button for at least one second turn off the vehicle.
In the Goodbye screen, select "Function on Demand available" and then press "Install now". Follow the further instructions in your vehicle. Then leave the vehicle, lock it and wait for the installation time specified by your vehicle. Your new function will be available when you next start the vehicle.
