Good Friday Jerusalem 2021.
During my visit to Jerusalem today, I witnessed thousands of pilgrims attending the Good Friday ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre after Covid restrictions were eased following Israel's vaccine roll-out.
The pilgrims were restricted from attending this ceremony last Easter due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Today many pilgrims wearing masks poured down the Via Dolorosa path towards the Church of the Holy Sepulchre carrying crosses to observe Jesus' route to his crucifixion.
Good Friday is the Friday before Easter and a day on which Christians commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
