Planned Parenthood facing potential funding loss as Trump's budget bill passes House

After days of negotiation and an all-night session last week, House Republicans narrowly passed President Trump's "one big beautiful bill." As the bill heads to the Senate, certain organizations like Planned Parenthood find themselves facing potential funding loss.

"This fight is about keeping our doors open," said Lindsay Johnson, the chief external affairs officer for Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI).

She says the organization is preparing for the worst after the bill took a step closer to becoming law. The national budget includes making cuts to Medicaid and prohibiting people on Medicaid from using that insurance at clinics that provide abortions.
