Making my First Watch - Watchmaking Vlog 38

Watchmaking Vlog Episode 38 - In this watchmaking episode I assemble all the watch parts of the ETA 6498 movement back together, along with the parts that I made by hand.
It has been 8 years since I first discovered and fell in love with watchmaking, I started reading everything I could online, collecting tools, books, machines,. To what I have around me today.

2 years 7 months and 13 days. From the day I uploaded my first watchmaking vlog, where I said I was going to make my first watch and how I want to be an independent watchmaker. I’ve been working at nights in spare time, learning, making, going into the unknown.

Since that first vlog I’ve made 3 main pieces of the watch movement for my watch. The barrel bridge, the wheel train and the one that taught me so much, the balance bridge. All from the sheet of brass.

We see my watch ticking for the first time with all the parts assembled. I am so excited for the future, I feel like I am one step closer to realising my dreams of making watches.
