Different options you can configure when launching an EC2 instance:

Disk Space – Type and size (e.g., SSD, EBS)

Network/Firewall Settings

⚙️ How to Access and Configure the EC2 Instance:

Instance Type – Choosing CPU and memory capacity

AMI (Amazon Machine Image) – Selecting OS and pre-installed software

Storage – Configuring storage type and size

Security Groups – Defining firewall rules (SSH, HTTP)

Key Pair – Setting up SSH access

Network Settings – VPC, Subnet, Public IP

IAM Role – Assigning permissions for AWS service access

User Data Script – Automating tasks during instance launch

Elastic IP – Assigning a static public IP (optional)

🌐 Installing Apache Web Server on EC2:

Automatically install Apache Web Server (httpd) on Amazon Linux

Start and enable Apache service to persist after reboot

Create a basic HTML web page to test the server

Act like a virtual firewall for EC2

Allow inbound rules (e.g., SSH – port 22, HTTP – port 80)

Default behavior: All outbound traffic allowed, inbound blocked

Control access via IP address, protocol, and port settings
