In parts of Africa, especially in regions of Sudan and Ethiopia, there are whispers of something that isn’t fully human…
The Bultungin.
By day, they look just like ordinary people—neighbors, travelers… even friends.
But when night falls, their true nature begins to surface.
Bones shift.
Teeth sharpen.
And under the cover of darkness… they become hyenas.
Not just animals—but thinking, hunting creatures that remember who you are.
Some stories claim the Bultungin are part of secret societies, feeding on the dead… or worse… hunting the living. Others say they can move between forms at will, blending into villages undetected.
And if a hyena stares at you too long in the night…
some believe it’s not an animal at all.
It’s watching you.
Waiting.
Because the most terrifying part of the Bultungin isn’t what they become…
It’s that they were human first.
