I IV Major 7th Backing Track in B Major Concert

This backing track follows the chord progression series of 2 bars each on the I and IV chords from the relevant major scale which are both Major 7th chords. It follows a 16 bar format which is repeated four times at a speed of 105 beats per minute.

By way of example, in the key of C Major a I IV four note harmonized chord progression will be C Major 7 to F Major 7.

The Major 7 chord is built from the 1 3 5 7 notes from the relevant major scale eg. C Major 7 = C E G B. F Major 7 = F A C E.

Many songs in all styles feature the I IV Major 7th chord progression.

You can play any of the notes from the relevant major scale to create new melodies and improvisations against this common chord sequence.
