मनसे आणि शिवसेना ठाकरे गटाच्या युतीच्या चर्चा सुरू असताना, उद्धव ठाकरेंनी राज ठाकरेंचा एक मोहरा फोडला. अंधेरी पूर्वमधील मनसेचे पदाधिकारी वैभव दळवी यांनी त्यांच्या कार्यकर्त्यांसोबत शिवसेनेत प्रवेश केला. मातोश्रीवर उद्धव ठाकरेंनी त्यांना शिवबंधन बांधले. मात्र मनसेचे नेते संदीप देशपांडे यांनी वैभव दळवी हे 2014 पासून मनसेमध्ये नसल्याचे सांगितले. मुंबई महानगरपालिका निवडणुकीच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर ठाकरेंच्या शिवसेनेने संघटनात्मक बांधणी मजबूत करण्यासाठी पावले उचलली आहेत.
