Dakota Johnson Reveals Reason She Was Called “Pompous” After Audition | E! News

Dakota Johnson detailed being called “cocky” and “schmoozing” after an audition in which she greeted the casting team with handshakes. “I had an audition once, and it was a callback, and I went into the room, and I shook everyone’s hand and introduced myself," the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ alum told Hits Radio UK in an interview published on TikTok March 23. "Then I did the scene, and I left.” However, the 36-year-old explained, “The feedback I got was that because I had gone and introduced myself and shook everyone’s hand is that I was pompous. That I was schmoozing, and I was full of myself.” And the 'Materialists' star—whose parents are actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson—couldn’t believe it. She continued, “I was like, ‘What?’ I didn’t get the job because they said that I was being cocky, but I just had manners. It was pretty crazy.” Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1430341/dakota-johnson-failed-audition-for-being-cocky-giving-handshakes
