Located at an altitude of 785 m sl m, almost on the edge of a plateau, the Orolo nuraghe offers a spectacle of unusual beauty. Already the monument looks beautiful and elegant, architecturally composed Bakari isodomi, but in addition the underlying scenario of Planargia bird's-eye view makes us an idea of the concentration of structures and capillarization of these in the territory. The structure consists of trachyte ashlars combined to create a tower archaic, from the very slender profile, that approach, in prospect, two secondary towers combined into a bastion. This is accessed by an entrance that leads to three tallest dome in the world vie: front there is access to the main tower, on the right that the Eastern Tower while on the left gives access to the western tower. The ancient tower, originally composed of at least three levels, presents on the ground floor is a flight of stairs that goes counter clockwise a Hall with three niches. The latter, turned to spinner, is lacking only the final cover slabs and presents, along the profile and slightly raised from the floor, four small cabinets made in the wall. The Hall on the first floor, abnormal shaped circular at all, presents three irregular niches and, in addition to the absence of a part of the floor from where you can see the underlying room has two wells located in wall ground below. In this environment, you can see a window, placed on the vertical Tower and the entrance to the bastion, crowned by a massive lintel. Worthy of note is the slot that opens up outside WNW of the donjon, in the niche opposite the entrance, which finds similarities to the existing one on the first floor of the nuraghe Santu Antine to Torralba: it reproduces a bovine head and probably indicates a seat as expected inside an Assembly, a leading figure of the company. Do not cite any notable news concerning two secondary towers because information about excavations are very little if not absent, you may remember only that some studies indicate the presence of a few huts and around see, just a few hundred metres, two other nuraghi, a source and Domus de Janas.
