0:00 Della Maddalena Intro
0:53 vs. Jousset
2:53 vs. Pettigrew
4:14 vs. Bates
Jack Della Maddalena (11-2) lost his first two pro fights but since the Aussie has reeled off eleven straight wins. The 25-year-old scored a round one KO in his first UFC fight after earning a contract from Dana White on his Contender Series. Now he’s in Singapore for UFC 275: Teixeira vs. Prochazka with a tough matchup lined up.
Giacomo Della Maddalena was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1996. Both he and his brother Josh (4-3) are pro MMA fighters and now call Scrappy MMA and Fitness home in Willetton, Perth. After going 2-0 at the amateur level, Maddalena felt ready for the next level and made the leap. However, results went south for the first time in his fight career with back-to-back stoppage losses. The young Welterweight literally took his lumps and came back a changed man with a new game plan. Jack reeled off eleven straight including revenge on the fighter who gave him his first L.
In September 2021, Australia’s Eternal MMA Champion at 170 lbs. flew stateside to try his UFC chops on The Contender Series. Della dazzled fans with his technical boxing en route to a unanimous decision, then four months later made his octagon debut at UFC 270: Ngannou vs. Gane. The streak stayed alive and was never in question that night, as he dispatched his opponent courtesy of his fifth career KO/TKO in R1. Now five months later he finds himself closer to home in Singapore to face wrestling wizard Ramazan Emeev (20-5). A classic striker vs. grappler battle and it’s starting off the main card on Saturday, 6/11, at 10 PM ET.
