What Easter Really Looks Like in Italy 🐣 | Read an Italian Story With Me - Level A2–B1

Buona Pasqua! 🐣🇮🇹
Today is a special day — so here's a special video. We're reading an Italian Easter story together: Il Pranzo di Pasqua — The Easter Lunch.
Twelve people at the table. A grandmother who's been in the kitchen since eight in the morning. An uncle who won't stop talking about politics. And a chocolate egg with a surprise inside.
Welcome to Easter, Italian style.

📖 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS VIDEO:

Essential A2–B1 Italian vocabulary in context
Avere voglia di — one of the most useful expressions in Italian
Nessuno — how to say nobody/no one
Dalle + time — how to say "since" in Italian
Stare + gerund — the Italian present progressive
A famous Italian Easter proverb — and what it really means

THE STORY:
At grandma's house, the Easter lunch always starts late. First comes Uncle Roberto with the wine. Then Aunt Carla with the colomba. Then the cousins — with nothing but noise. The grandmother has been in the kitchen since eight. The lamb smells incredible. And the most important moment of the day? The children are shaking their chocolate Easter eggs, trying to guess the surprise inside.
Nessuno ha ancora voglia di alzarsi da tavola.
Nobody feels like getting up from the table yet.
