Mt Elbrus June 2016

28th of July / 7:45 am we reached the top of Mt.Elbrus !

That was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in my life.
My group started at midnight from 3850. A really friendly guy from Japan, 2 Swedish guys, Andre and me from Austria. The Australian couple decided to take the snowcat. On 5000 we catched them. Finally, shortly after the Elbrus Saddle the guide separated Andre and me from the rest of the group because (thx god) we had no problem with the attitude and an upcoming thunderstorm was forcing us to walk faster.
At 7:45 am our guide Roman, Andre and me reached the summit. Sometimes breathing was really hard. I felt like a 100 year old woman. Even drinking and eating was exhausting. Every move after 5000 was making me breathe heavily. However, also the rest of our group finally reached the summit.
I'm so happy and proud that we all have done it !
