Surviving COVID-19 ~ Sheila's Story
When 69-year-old Sheila Moore tested positive for COVID-19 this summer, she assumed it would be a mild case. But Sheila's symptoms quickly progressed, and on June 30, she was admitted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She spent 3 long, hard months' battling COVID-19 — including 7 weeks on a ventilator in the ICU. On Sept. 30, the Sarasota resident was finally healthy enough to return home. Here, Sheila and her daughter Vanessa talk about the fear, the struggle and the hope they experienced on her journey to recovery.
