Thailand, Maya Bay, Ko Phi Phi “THE Beach” Overnight Stay

We spent the night in Maya Bay, Ko Phi Phi, famous from the movie The Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio. It's a beautiful place but suffers from overcrowding. As soon as it turned light the first long-tails and fast ferries turned up and by 7am the beach was packed with tourists. They are planning a 4-month closure from June 2018 to give nature a rest. Not nearly long enough, but it's a start!
