22 Magnum Groundhogs

This is an excerpt of .22 magnum hunting from my movie "Rimfire Groundhogs." This movie is one I began work on several years ago and involves rimfire groundhog hunting.

Rimfires are a lot of fun since they require a little more patience, shooting skills and stalking skills in order to get within a reasonable killing range.

This video involves two separate Ruger 77/22 magnum rifles. I used a Winchester 40 gr. HP for my shooting. Waddill used another load with a V-Max bullet.

Groundhogs can be tough to put down sometimes due to their stocky body mass. Precise bullet placement with a rimfire is needed, but this video demonstrates the killing-ability of the .22 magnum cartridge.
