La Giraffa — Voronoi Stadium & Retractable Roof | Grasshopper & Rhino

The giraffe's coat is not decoration. It's a Voronoi tessellation — cell boundaries optimised by millennia of evolution into the most efficient packing of irregular polygons on a curved surface.

This stadium skin uses the same geometry. Voronoi cells across the entire exterior, scaled by curvature, with a retractable fabric roof that folds back into the geometry when open. Patterned in Grasshopper. Resolved in Rhino. Verdi Studio. Design that performs.
