മുംബയ് അഹമ്മദാബാദ് റൂട്ടില്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ ആദ്യ ബുള്ളറ്റ് ട്രെയിന്‍ സര്‍വീസിനായി ജപ്പാനുമായി ഈ മാസം അവസാനം ധാരണയിലെത്തും. ജപ്പാന്‍ ഭാഷയില്‍ ഷിന്‍കാന്‍സെന്‍ എന്ന് പ്രശസ്തമായ 24 ബുള്ളറ്റ് ട്രെയിനുകളാണ് വാങ്ങുന്നത്. 508 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ റൂട്ടില്‍ 2026മദ്ധ്യത്തോടെ ഇവ ഓടിക്കാനാണ് ശ്രമം.മണിക്കൂറില്‍ 320കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വേഗതയുള്ള ബുള്ളറ്റ് ലിമിറ്റഡ് സ്രോപ്പ് ട്രെയിന്‍ 508 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ രണ്ടു മണിക്കൂറില്‍ ഓടും.12 സ്രേഷനുകളുണ്ട്. ഓള്‍ സ്രോപ്പ് ബുള്ളറ്റ് ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ 2.45 മണിക്കൂറില്‍ ഓടിയെത്തും. നിലവില്‍ ആറു മണിക്കൂര്‍ വേണം.

India is set to finalize an agreement with Japan later this month for the country’s first bullet train service on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad route. The project includes the purchase of 24 bullet trains, popularly known in Japan as “Shinkansen.” Efforts are underway to begin operations on the 508-kilometre route by mid-2026.

The high-speed Bullet Limited Stop trains, capable of running at 320 kmph, will cover the 508-km distance in just two hours. The route will have 12 stations. The all-stop bullet trains will complete the journey in around 2 hours and 45 minutes, compared to the current travel time of nearly six hours.
