Xbox 360 Kinect on the infrared spectrum

This is what the xbox 360 Kinect looks like when you take off the infrared filter on your camera. Night Vison enabled cameras use infrared light to light up a dark room without disturbing your eyes just as the Kinect does, so we can observe part of how the Kinect works. The left lens produces an infrared laser grid onto the room and the right lens pick up these dots to figure out relative depth. The center lens is a regular camera for video chat and pictures.
