Ehrlich's test (Urobilinogen detection in urine)

Ehrlich's test is used for detection of Urobilinogen in urine. Trace amounts of urobilinogen are normally present in urine. Urobilinogen is a pigment produced by the bacterial decomposition of bilirubin in the intestine, from where it is re-absorbed and appears in the urine. Increased amounts indicate an increased production of bilirubin. If there is little or no urobilinogen in urine, it can mean your liver isn't working correctly. Dear viewers in this video you will learn how to perform Ehrlich's test practically.
