Here are the highlights of the ceremony:

- Postman Kaka (played by actor Sagar Karande from 'Chala Hawa Yeu Dya') took the audience through a recap of the work and impact of Water Cup 2019
- Paani Foundation's CEO, Satyajit Bhatkal, shared how Water Cup participants fought all odds and achieved greater quantity and quality of work compared to 2018
- Kiran Rao spoke about the impact and experience of Nisargachi Dhamaal Shala,
Paani Foundation's school programme, focused on environment and water conservation
- Watershed veteran Mr. Popatrao Pawar discussed the significance of water management and crop planning
- Hon'ble CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis congratulated all the participants and pledged continued support towards the issue of water
- Musicians Ajay-Atul performed 'Vaat Disu De' as a prayer to stand in solidarity with all those affected in the 2019 floods in various parts of India
- 76 taluka-level winners from four zones of Maharashtra and 6 state-level winners (first, second and third place) were announced, amidst great spirit and enthusiasm
- Celebrities from the Marathi film and TV industry graced the event and presented many awards
