CRS-23 mission is contracted by NASA and will be flown by SpaceX using a Cargo Dragon 2. The Dragon cargo spacecraft will deliver supplies and science investigations to the International Space Station.
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket will send the company’s Dragon spacecraft, filled with more than 7,300 pounds of research, crew supplies and hardware to the space station to support expeditions 65 and 66.
The Dragon 2 spacecraft is expected to arrive and autonomously dock to the space station on Monday, August 30 at approximately 11:00 a.m. EDT, 15:00 UTC.
This will be the fourth flight of Falcon 9 booster B1061 which previously supported Crew-1, Crew-2, and SXM-8 missions.
SpaceX drone ship ‘A Shortfall Of Gravitas’ will act as the floating landing pad for the Falcon 9 about 8 minutes after launch.
Dragon will separate from Falcon 9’s second stage about 12 minutes into the flight.
