Chinese Style Lemon Chicken|By Chef Girlie

This is a classic favorite. The lemon sauce is both sweet and sour and compliments the chicken perfectly. I used Camote flour to add a crispy texture. Serve with white rice to add more authenticity.

Ingredients
Cubed Chicken Breasts 2 cups
Cracked 1 Egg
Salt & pepper to taste
Camote Flour 1 cup
Cooking Oil 2 cups
Water 2 cups
Lemon Juice 2 tbs
Ginger Powder ½ tsp
White Sugar 1/3 cup
Honey ¼ cup
Slurry Mixture (mix cornstarch 2 tbs with 1/3 cup of water)

Procedures
1. In a mixing bowl with cubed chicken breasts, crack egg, season with salt & pepper.
2. Mix well and marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
3. Dip the marinated cubed chicken breasts into camote flour.
4. In a frying pan, heat cooking oil.
5. Deep fry the cubed chicken breasts.
6. Flip when they turn golden brown.
7. Remove and drain excess using oil paper towels. Set aside.
8. In a cooking pan, add water and bring to boil.
9. Pour lemon juice and add ginger powder, white sugar and honey, then stir.
10. Pour slurry mixture. Stir again until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
11. Add cooked cubed chicken breasts. Mix and simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
12. Share and Enjoy!!!
