David is the author of Cleaning Data For Effective Data Science (2021, Packt), Text Processing in Python (2003, Addison-Wesley), and the Charming Python article column, which was the most widely read discussion of Python for a number of years. His many writings can be found on his personal site, Gnosis.

David's been active in the Python community for over 20 years, sitting on the board of the Python Software Foundation (PSF), and as a keynote speaker at PyCon and other programming conferences.
