BOEING 747-8 flying LOW above me - Boeing 747 NEW GENERATION LANDING (4K)

Cologne Airport has three runways and usually the heavies land on the longest runway (14L) with a length of 4000m. The crew of the first Boeing 747-8 shown in this video decided to use a shorter runway (24, 2500m) to avoid crosswinds on the long runway. That` s why I was able to record this amazing B747-8F passing quite low above my head while approaching runway 24.

UPS just started replacing the classic MD11`s with more modern Boeing 747-8F on the Cologne routes cause the Md11`s are too loud for the night time operations at CGN.
