Golden Hour in the Northern Australian Savannah

One early morning in August Ian Morris, Nalani Sawyer and I sat and waited by a small waterhole on a cattle station near the Adelaide River, about 100 kms from Darwin, NT, Australia.

This what we experienced.

Video and still shots have been taken with my Nikon P900, handheld, and digiscoping using my Samsung Note 8 and Swarovski spotting scope.

Nature audio is added to the still shots courtesy of Quiet Parks International http://www.quietparks.org

Experience the Wild is owned and operated by Mike and Jenny Jarvis in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. We take private or small-group (maximum 6 people) tours in search of birds and other wildlife in the Top End, from Darwin to Kakadu to Kununurra in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. One of our very popular tours is the 'Breakfast with Gouldians' tour. This experience is shared on all of our tours ranging from two days to thirteen days, between June and October.
