40th Heart donation from Surat through Donate Life.

Sushil Sahu who was native of Odisha, working in a weaving unit at Sayan-Olpad, Surat was declared brain dead by doctors of Bankers Heart Institute. After counseling of team Donate Life and Bhavesh Master his family members were agreed to donate his vital Organs like Heart, Kidney, Liver and Corneas which gave new lease of life to six persons.

Under the guidance of Surat Municipal Commissioner Shri Banchhanidhi Pani we transferred his dead body from Surat to Bhubaneswar, Odisha by air cargo for last ritual.

Heart transplantation was done at MGM Hospital Chennai.

Both Kidney & Liver transplantation was done at Zydus Hospital Ahmedabad.

Corneas were donated to Lok Drashti chakshu Bank.

We salute the family members of Late Sushil Ramchandra Sahu for their brave decision to donate the vital organs after doctors declared him brain dead.

With this donation till date Donate Life have been able to persuade the donation of 418 Kidney, 178 Liver, 40 Heart, 26 Lungs, 4 Hands, 8 Pancreas and 322 Corneas which made total donation of 996 organs and tissue that gave new lease of life to 909 persons across the country and globe.

We are very much thankful to Doctors and Management of Bankers Heart Institute Surat for their wholehearted support to this noble cause.

We are also thankful to NOTTO, SOTTO Gujarat, MGM Hospital Chennai, Zydus Hospital Ahmedabad, Doctors and Various Hospital of Surat, Surat City Police, Various City and Rural Police of our State, Surat Municipal Corporation, Surat Collector, Surat Airport Authority, Gene Lab, Euro Foods, Print & Electronic Media and Volunteers of Donate Life for their wholehearted support in this life saving mission.
