Gardeners of the Forest return to El Impenetrable National Park

Rescued from the illegal pet trade in Paraguay, 40 red-footed tortoises, ecologically extinct in Argentina, are being set free in El Impenetrable National Park, where these seed dispersers will play a key role in restoring the Chaco, one of the world's most threatened forests. Considered the largest importation of species for rewilding in South America, the initiative is led by Rewilding Argentina.
