Skull: Painting tutorial

Starting the basics of staining using drybrush techniques with acrylic paints.

LIST OF MATERIALS:
cleaned skull
Old paint brush
2 paper towels (one dry, one wet)
2 cups (one for water, one for paint)
Acrylic paint (black, brown, or amber)
Americana brand Staining Antique medium
Can Krylon Gloss Matte spray
Bottle of Americana triple thick acrylic gloss brush on paint
FIRST: Always wash off your resin mask using mild dish soap and water to remove any mold release oils from the surface and let dry before painting.
SECOND: mix up your 50/50 paint and staining medium and prep your paper towels plus cup of water.
ThIRD: start painting into all the cracks on 1/4 of the skull at a time. dont be afraid to start light and work on more layers as they dry.
FORTH: Once all your painting is done give more mask 2 light coats of Krylon spray gloss to seal in the paint.
LAST: use a clean paint brush to coat the teeth with triple thick gloss of that extra toothy shine. ; )
