How to Turn On Phone Without Power Button - 4 Methods to Turn On Any Android Phone

In this video, I'm going to show you how to turn on your phone without the power button. The methods shown for turning on your phone when the power button is broken will work on any android phone or tablet. However, these methods should be considered as a temporary solution, until there is a convenient opportunity to send the device for a repair.

I have used a Motorola Razr M smartphone for the demonstration. Therefore, some methods may not work or may work differently with a different device.

How to turn on any android phone without the power button.
The following methods can be used to start the operating system if the power button doesn't work:
- Connecting to a computer via USB port.
- Normal startup of the system in the boot mode selection menu.
- Reboot in recovery mode - Recovery.
- Reboot from FastBoot mode - FastBoot.

**Method 1: Connecting to a computer via USB**
Most smartphones and tablets automatically start up when you connect them to your computer. You may first need to install drivers from the manufacturer's official website.

**Method 2: Normal system startup in boot mode selection menu.**
If you press one or both volume keys and then connect the USB cable to the computer, the boot mode selection menu is displayed. Among the available options is a normal system startup, which requires a press of the volume up button. Then wait for the operating system to start.
**Method 3: Restarting in Recovery Mode - Recovery.**
Another option to start the system in boot mode is to use Recovery mode, i.e. recovery mode. In some devices, this mode is loaded by default.
As soon as an image with an upside-down robot appears on the screen, press both volume keys simultaneously to display the menu.
Leave the reboot system now option highlighted.
After about 15-20 minutes a reboot with a normal system startup will occur.
In my case, it didn't restart even after an hour, presumably due to an older version of the system.
If you have a custom recovery installed, e.g. TWRP, just hit the reboot button and wait for the operating system to start.

**Method 4: Reboot from FastBoot mode - FastBoot.**
The last option to start the system in boot mode is to switch to FastBoot, i.e. FastBoot mode.
Connect the device to the computer via USB cable and then run the Adb Run utility.
In Adb Run select the second item reboot android. Press key two on your keyboard followed by the enter key.
In the next menu select item 7 and then wait for the system to boot.

**How to wake your smartphone or tablet from standby mode.**

The following methods can help unlock your device.
Using bio metric authentication system.
Connecting the power cable or headphones.
Activating with gestures.

**Method 1: Using a biometric authentication system.**

Modern smartphones and some tablets are equipped with fingerprint scanners - either on the body or embedded in the screen. If you enter a fingerprint, you can unlock the screen by simply touching the corresponding finger to the sensor. The same action will lock the screen.

**Method 2: Connecting the power cable or headphones.**

When the charger or headphones are connected, the screen will light up briefly to unlock the screen.

**Method 3: Gesture activation.**

Some models allow you to illuminate the screen with gestures, like double-tapping the cover or screen.
