Daily Dose of Froglogic 14 Oct 2020
I felt the hole rumbling,
Inside beneath the lies.
It wants to be fed,
through the death of my smiles.

So I launched the flare high
not so far from my home.
He arrived in the crisp of the patient morning,
For the hole was dark and hungry to eat my mind.

The calm came from his Wayfarer eyes,
Standing on the water as if he made the sunrise.
I chased his ripples paddling away from my past,
The hole was waning to my surprise.

We shared the word of men
Readily laughing at our lack of understanding.
The fathers tests will never abate
Inspiring identity beyond the senselessness of a merciless fate.

It seems so simple and easy to recollect
Away from the truth.
Far from the broken words and the hallowed lands
Testing the suffering of our youth.

The wisdom you fed me filled my belly,
As if it came from the tree of life.
The clean clear crystal waters touched my pain,
Washing my hidden wounds and my shame.

We rested our worries ever so gently,
Against the eroding shores and time.
We’re prepared for the suffering
And the calling from the hole.

I know it can never be filled
It’s way too deep to be murdered or killed.
But with Him as my guide
I can dance along the edge with love by my side.
