One of the final AM rush hours at the soon to be remoted Nassau Tower in Mineola. 7/9/20

In just 2 days from now this tower will no longer be controlled by an operator. It will be remoted from Jamaica Control Center. I had to capture one of the last days of this long time manned tower. I would have come tomorrow to get the very last day of manned operation but inclement weather is expected. I’m glad I had the chance to get one of the very last rush hours here. The AM rush is something I’ve never done here. Very impressive and relentless action. Farewell Nassau Tower. As a remote interlocking it may very soon be demolished. Some of the train originating points I may have been incorrect on plus train 611 is not the express train it usually was prior to essential services schedules.
