Minnesota Statute 609 . 833, faking a service animal will result in jail time and fines, in Minnesota, misrepresenting a service animal is a class 2 misdemeanor, which can result in 12+ months of jail time. By faking a service animal, you're putting my life in danger and making it harder for me to have a service animal, public access issues happen for real handlers because of the way people bring their untrained pets into places and call them service animals, then the place doesn't like how the "service animal" behaved, and will then deny every animal, service animal or not to enter. Distracting my service animal can put me into the hospital or worse, death. Establishments are made non pet friendly due to multiple reasons, distracting free place for service animals, health code violations, or safety of other animals (like a fair with wild or fair animals or zoos) and people. Shopping with your pet is NOT more important than a disabled persons life or rights.

My state covers SDiT and have the same public access rights as full trained service dogs.

-Minnesota statute 256C.02 states that, in Minnesota, service animals in training have the same rights as service animals and are allowed in places of public accommodation. This is a Minnesota state law, it is not in the ADA.
